Besides that, however, the amount of things to do in this game thanks to the free DLC really does help this game in it's favor, as this is one of the most feature filled Kirby games in recent memory, and while I wish the levels, despite still being fun for the most part, had a bit more going for them and the length was a bit longer, this is still a very solid entry in the Kirby series. Compared to the 8-9 hours or more you could squeeze out from Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot each, the somewhat shorter length here can be a bit underwhelming. It's not extremely short, as I still managed to fully complete it in the span of 6-7 hours, which is more than I could say about games like 'Sonic Forces', at least. Only 4 world's with about 6-12 levels in them each, all of which are, as I said before, simple. The length, as well, is a bit lacking in comparison to the previous titles. I just wish that there were some of the great ideas from the previous 2 games before this, because, as a whole, with levels this simplistic, this just might be one of the easiest games I've played in a while. None of the levels are necessarily bad, as they're still fun enough to play through, and they work perfectly for team based gameplay.

The level design, while still fun and decently designed, is very simple and nowhere near as creative as most games in the series beforehand. But, despite this game being awesome, now, it's far from perfect. Overall, this game is all fantastic fun that really pulled a 180 in terms of quality, as the amount of content, now, all make this a very worthwhile package. The visuals are gorgeous, detailed, and adorable, the gameplay is just as great, if not better than it was in previous games, the music is all great stuff, the boss battles are very creative, every mode, both new and old, is great fun, and the amount of replay value is staggering. After about one year after this game's release, I finally picked this up with all the free DLC downloaded, and after beating the main story mode and delving into every other mode, I can say with confidence that this is a really good package that Kirby fans, both new and old, will most likely adore. But then, I heard about there being a lot of free DLC that would beef up the game considerably, making it much more worthwhile investment. After hearing the mixed reception right after it's release, I sort of held off on trying this game out, because I have heard everywhere that this game, while still beautiful and fun, is a downgrade from previous Kirby games.

I remember thinking 'Finally, an HD Kirby game that'll look gorgeous and add new fun mechanics.' I was also puzzled, because this game sort of came out of nowhere, so there wasn't much to really get a big clue of right from the gate. When I heard about this game, I was excited, yet kind of confused.
